Pick a few good photos and short clips, keep one clear structure, and let the birthday person's reaction carry the video.

A birthday video works best when it focuses on one person and one shared moment. Start with a handful of photos that show the birthday person clearly, then add short clips from the celebration itself. You do not need to use every photo from the last ten years.
The goal is a short video that feels personal, not a full archive of the family. A few strong photos and two or three clips are usually enough.
There are two simple structures you can follow. The first is a memory of this year's party: photos and clips from the day, in order, ending with a wish. The second is a short look back over the years, finished with a birthday wish for today.
Both are easy to follow. If you combine them, make it clear when you move from the past to the present. A simple date on screen, or a change in music, is enough. Do not jump back and forth between old and new photos, because the viewer loses track of the story.
People need a moment to see who is in a photo. Two to three seconds per image is a good starting point. If a photo has several faces, give it a little more time.
Do not shrink names and long wishes into tiny text at the bottom of the screen. If the text is hard to read on a phone, it will be hard to read everywhere. Keep on-screen text short: a name, a year, a few words.
A longer personal message is better sent next to the video, in the chat, or recorded as a separate voice note. That way the video stays light and the message gets the space it deserves.
The cake is a nice detail, but the smile, the surprise, or the thank-you is often the main memory. That is the moment people will want to watch again.
Keep the original sound if it is clear and suitable to share. You can hear the singing, the laughter, and the voice of the birthday person. Lower the music at that point so the real sound comes through.
If the original sound is messy or private, you can mute it and use music instead. Just check that nothing personal is said in the background.
A video for a family group is not always suitable for a public profile. Some photos may show children, homes, or people who did not agree to be online.
Before you send anything, look through the photos once more and ask whether each person would be happy to see it in that place. If you want to share the video more widely, prepare a shorter public version with fewer personal moments.
Upload your chosen photos and clips to Relsko. The assistant asks at most a couple of questions and proposes three concepts for your birthday video. You pick one, Relsko renders three cut variants of that concept, and you download the one you like.
Relsko only uses your own footage. It does not add stock clips or scenes that were not filmed. The standard export is available to everyone, and animated captions are BETA. You can register for 30 days of full access without a card.
One more thing: keep the video short. A birthday message that is easy to watch once is more likely to be watched again.
Kurz gesagt: A good birthday video uses a few clear photos, short clips, and the real reaction of the birthday person instead of every photo you own.
